Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-07-29

These terms are the agreement between you and Journey for the use of the Journey daily planner at app.getjourney.day and this website. By creating an account or using Journey, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Journey.

The service

Journey is a personal productivity tool for planning your day: planning rituals, timeboxing on a calendar, a focus timer, habit tracking, an end-of-day shutdown, and optional connections to third-party tools such as Google Calendar, Gmail, Jira, Linear, and Slack. We improve and change Journey over time, which means features may be added, changed, or removed. We will not remove something significant without letting you know.

Accounts

  • You need an account to use Journey. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your country, if higher).
  • Provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure, and let us know atsupport@getjourney.day if you believe your account has been compromised.
  • You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.
  • Accounts are for individuals. Do not share one account across several people.

Your content

The content you put into Journey stays yours. You grant us only the limited licence needed to host, process, back up, sync, and display it so the service can work for you. We do not sell your content, use it for advertising, or use it to train machine learning models. See thePrivacy Policy for details.

Connected accounts

When you connect a third-party tool, you authorise Journey to access that tool on your behalf for the features described in the app. Your use of those tools remains subject to their own terms, and we are not responsible for their availability or behaviour. You can disconnect any integration at any time.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • break the law or infringe anyone's rights while using Journey;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to Journey, other users' accounts, or our infrastructure;
  • probe, scan, overload, or otherwise interfere with the service, or circumvent rate limits and access controls;
  • resell, sublicense, or provide Journey as a service to third parties;
  • upload malware, or use Journey to send spam or harass anyone;
  • scrape or use automated means to access Journey outside of interfaces we provide for that purpose.

Subscriptions and billing

  • Journey is a paid product with a free trial. Current pricing and trial details are shown in the app before you subscribe.
  • Billing is handled by Clerk Billing with Stripe as the payment processor. By subscribing you authorise recurring charges to your payment method until you cancel.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled.
  • You can cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep access until then, and we do not provide pro-rated refunds for partial periods except where required by law.
  • If a trial ends or a payment fails and is not resolved, paid features may become unavailable. Your data remains available for export or deletion.
  • We may change prices. We will give you notice before a change applies to your subscription, and a change never applies to a period you have already paid for.
  • Taxes may be added where applicable.

Availability

We aim to keep Journey available and reliable, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. Maintenance, third-party outages, and problems outside our control can interrupt it. Journey depends on third-party providers (including Clerk, Convex, Stripe, and Vercel) and on the tools you connect.

No warranty

Journey is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Journey is a personal productivity tool: it is not a system of record, and you should not rely on it as your only copy of important information or as professional advice.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Journey will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or missed commitments arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to Journey is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, in which case the limitations above apply only to the extent permitted.

Termination

You can stop using Journey and delete your account at any time by emailingsupport@getjourney.day. We may suspend or terminate an account if it breaks these terms, creates risk or legal exposure, or has been inactive and unpaid for an extended period — with notice where reasonably possible. On termination, your right to use Journey ends and we delete your data as described in thePrivacy Policy.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Journey changes. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, give you notice in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use Journey after that means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of[jurisdiction to be confirmed], without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and any dispute will be brought in the courts located there.
